Its raining cricket :)

Finally, we've done it! Team India has done it... :)

India has finally got home the trophy after a long 28-year wait. Prayers of 1.2 billion people definitely haven't gone waste this time.

Cricket-crazy fans all out on the roads celebrating Team India's performance, waving the Tri-Color and dancing to the success. Politicians out there trying to get the Monday declared as a national holiday to add to the joy. From Kids to grandpas, from Hindus to Muslims, from North to South, from actors to politicians, this game of cricket is definitely the only thing that binds all in this country. Cricket, the rich man's game, truly is 'religion' in this not so rich part of the world.

The ecstasy & celebration post the win today was truly over whelming and I believe that team India deserved every bit of the victory. Cheers to the men in blue... Hip hip Hurray!

Life as I know it!!

Can't believe I am going to start my first ever blog...
Always loved to read what others wrote, but for some reason could never jot down my thoughts on a post...
I was just reading a couple of lovely posts by a few friends, Loved them.. and got inspired to finally begin my own blog... But before i could even begin, I hit the "Writer's" block... ;) I realized how everyone had written about some nice things in life n the others about something not that great.. But my life was just running fine... Nothing major to celebrate , but nothing to be sad about at all...So, what do i write about???

While i was contemplating on what to write, "someone" pinged me on Facebook.. The message got a smile on my face... (Don't ask me what the message was;) ).. So i decided, my first blog had to be dedicated to this Someone :):)

Going back 3.5 years, i clearly recall the day I joined Infosys - July 9, 2007. I was new to the place, the culture, the people... 100s of miles away from my hometown and even my own Delhi where I had spent the 3 beautiful years of my life during my graduation. Stepping into the corporate world, I was afraid that  I might be left alone... However, It was only a matter of 24 hours in the Mysore campus that I made my first set of friends. I was introduced to this guy, who seemed to have major attitude issues.. He didn't even bother to smile while saying 'Hi'... Arghhh!!

Phew!! From that day to the moment I write this... From an arrogant snob that he was to the person whom I cant love enough today... From our fights & flirting, to our banter & jokes...From the snooker table that first heard the sounds of our laughter to Skype where we talk for hours and hours... It has been quite a journey...
Tears & Giggles, Patience & Temper, Good & Bad, Fights & Love... We've seen it all...
As I write, we still stand together, stand strong...Stronger than ever :)

You are Life... Life as I know it today :):)
